Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute Design/Process Validation Plans (DVP/PVP); evaluating compliance to requirements and write reports.
  • Assist in design and release of electronic modules by adapting existing designs to meet requirements of new applications and customer needs; update specifications and Bill of Material (BOM) as needed.
  • Assist in developing of schematics & PCB layout requirements for each design.
  • Develop & create hardware design documentation and WCCA documents.
  • Assist with internal and external/customer reviews of WCCA during the development cycle.
  • Perform circuit simulation and generate lab data to support the design approval process.
  • Follow the defined APQP / Product Development process to ensure project deliverables and milestones are delivered on time and on budget, meeting defined requirements.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
  • Direct and coordinate building of prototype parts
  • Support warranty return and customer plant reject analysis to determine root cause and drive product improvements.
  • Interface with customers to build relationships, define requirements, communicate status, meet and exceed expectations and build their confidence in our ability to be a strategic supplier

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in requirements, testing, and design and development of automotive electronics and embedded software
  • Well-versed in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience developing detailed analog, digital electronic and embedded microprocessor circuits and schematics
  • Any specific experience with Mechatronics, wireless communications, phone apps, Functional Safety, automotive lighting, wire harness design or Automated Driver Assistance features
  • Experience in automotive requirements definition, specifications, testing, validation, and quality.
  • Working knowledge of design tools and simulation tools
  • Experience performing Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA), Circuit Simulation using CAD tools, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
