Job Description


  •  Works closely with customers.
  • Facilitates and Audits ISO/TS16949 and Customer Specific requirements.
  • Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
  • Performs quality engineering reviews for design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage sourcing projects as assigned, responsible for on-time & within budget launches.
  • Initiate requests and coordinate the PPAP /APQP requirements for each project.
  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
  • Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
  • Directs technical and administrative employees engaged in quality assurance activities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
  • Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.
  • Designs and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints regarding quality and manage corrective actions using customer required methodologies/formats.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Travel up to 25% required.


  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of directly related experience or at least five years of quality engineering experience.
  • CQT/CQE certification preferred.
  • ISO/TS16949 Auditor Training.
  • Six Sigma training a plus.
  • Must have OEM Assembly plant launch experience for new program launches.
  • Familiar with DVP&R TEST PLANS and validation process.
  • Working Knowledge of OEM APQP/Prototype/PPAP requirements.
  • Proven ability to work with customers and suppliers in the fast paced automotive sector.
  • Working knowledge of an engineering change process.
  • OEM Customer website knowledge.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (effective listening and interface with customers).
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
